Follow-up Program

Knowing the time and patience that  it can take to get used to CPAP therapy, it isn’t surprising that the national rate of compliance with CPAP treatment by patients is only approximately 55%. However, at CPAP 2 Go and The Sleep Wellness Institute, we’ve achieved a compliance rate of 85% by implementing our ongoing follow-up program. We make sure that your equipment is right for you, that your questions are answered, and that you know you have an expert available to counsel you.

In order to ensure that your needs are met every step of the way, we make a point of contacting you as you begin and continue the use of your CPAP/BiLevel equipment.

You will be contacted after using your equipment for:

  • 48/72 hours
  • 2 weeks
  • 1 month
  • 3 months
  • 1 year (and annually thereafter)

During these follow-up calls, you can expect to be asked how your CPAP use is progressing, if you have had any problems with or concerns about your equipment use, and if you are in need of any replacement supplies. Please feel free to discuss any concerns that you may have at any time with our representatives.

Equipment Downloads and Compliance

Typically, our patients follow up with their physician 6 weeks after the start of their CPAP/BiLevel equipment use. At this point it is necessary to perform a download of data stored in the equipment.

The equipment download process will:

  • Determine your level of treatment compliance
  • Show your physician if and when you have used the machine
  • Help them determine the quality of your sleep while on CPAP
  • Demonstrate to your insurance provider that you are using the equipment successfully (if required)

If you have any questions or problems, or if you require replacement supplies for your nasal CPAP/BiLevel system, please call our medical equipment representatives at: 1-800-295-6828.

* You must be compliant with using the equipment in order for your insurance provider to pay for the equipment. To be considered compliant, you must use the equipment for a minimum of 4 hours per night for 5 or more nights per week.
